Well, it’s just another day in the life of Nikky Blond. Most of this morning was spent on the phone and on the internet taking care of business stuff. BORING stuff, but totally necessary. I know I could hire a personal assistant to do this stuff for me, but I like to be more hands on with my business than that. I like to know what’s going on and get my hands dirty!

I also worked a charity event with a friend, which was fun! I got to throw on jeans and a baseball cap and work a booth totally anonymously, not as Nikky Blond the porn star, but just as Nikky, the girl who likes to help. I passed out flyers and explained what the organization was all about, and I took donations and added people’s names and addresses to a mailing list.

I’d mention the charity here but doing things like this is one of the really private things that I do, again not as Nikky Blond but just as Nikky… I wouldn’t want any fans showing up unexpectedly and making a scene in front of people who have no idea that I star in porno movies for a living!

I also heard from my family members who are going through a rough time financially and borrowed money from me, remember that blog entry from last Wednesday about this? They’re still in hot water over some other bills that aren’t getting paid, so I suggested that they sell some of their valuables, and they are making an hour long drive right now to do just that.

I’m really proud of them for taking things into their own hands. I wanted to encourage them to do that, because they aren’t powerless–I wanted to empower them in that way, to realize that they have options at their fingertips right now. I love them so much and I just want them to be able to get those bills paid off and get back to a normal life! Debt sucks. Stay in the black, people.

Well, I am off to watch a movie with Renato! It’s date night here at our house, time to spend some good time together and reconnect in the middle of a hard work week.
