Well you guys, it’s Sunday afternoon and another wild Saturday night is long over with. I went out with Renato and a couple of his guy friends last night. We started off at a sports bar which really wasn’t my kind of thing, but I did meet a lot of you there, really cool fans who recognized me from www.Nikky-Blond.com!

I had so much fun last night, and it didn’t involve going to the club or filming scenes for www.Nikky-Blond.com or any of that, haha! Renato and I were just wrapping up the night at about 3:00 AM and we were going to go to sleep but we weren’t tired. He was surfing the internet and he found this site that had cartoons from when we were kids, and I was like Come on baby, let’s watch some!

Well, it’s just another day in the life of Nikky Blond. Most of this morning was spent on the phone and on the internet taking care of business stuff. BORING stuff, but totally necessary. I know I could hire a personal assistant to do this stuff for me, but I like to be more hands on with my business than that. I like to know what’s going on and get my hands dirty!

I also worked a charity event with a friend, which was fun! I got to throw on jeans and a baseball cap and work a booth totally anonymously, not as Nikky Blond the porn star, but just as Nikky, the girl who likes to help. I passed out flyers and explained what the organization was all about, and I took donations and added people’s names and addresses to a mailing list.

I’d mention the charity here but doing things like this is one of the really private things that I do, again not as Nikky Blond but just as Nikky… I wouldn’t want any fans showing up unexpectedly and making a scene in front of people who have no idea that I star in porno movies for a living!

I also heard from my family members who are going through a rough time financially and borrowed money from me, remember that blog entry from last Wednesday about this? They’re still in hot water over some other bills that aren’t getting paid, so I suggested that they sell some of their valuables, and they are making an hour long drive right now to do just that.

I’m really proud of them for taking things into their own hands. I wanted to encourage them to do that, because they aren’t powerless–I wanted to empower them in that way, to realize that they have options at their fingertips right now. I love them so much and I just want them to be able to get those bills paid off and get back to a normal life! Debt sucks. Stay in the black, people.

Well, I am off to watch a movie with Renato! It’s date night here at our house, time to spend some good time together and reconnect in the middle of a hard work week. I just wanted to write a big thank you to everyone who sent in their suggestions last week! I got some really creative ones and we are working on implementing them right now. I’m not going to share the website suggestions here, because they’ll be nice surprises for you all when they launch!

But about the blog–I really got some great suggestions that I personally am starting to implement now. Some of you wanted to hear more about my personal life beyond just the hot XXX stories and all that, so I started that with last Wednesday’s blog entry–got really personal and it felt good! Even pornstars get the blues. I’ve been dealing with some “issues” in my family–a multitude of issues, really–and it’s been taking its toll. I know that sometimes my life seems like nothing but triple-x sex and triple-glam lifestyle, but nobody can escape from “real life,” and that includes me.

One of my closest family members is just about to lose their house because they hit a rough patch financially and they missed a few mortgage payments. They called me last night as a last resort. I’ve lent them money in the past and they have always paid me back even if it takes a while. That’s not an issue–it’s just that I want so badly to help them get things straightened out so they don’t have to be living paycheck to paycheck anymore.

So I wrote them a check for $10,000 to cover all the expenses that they were behind on. I was happy to do it, they’re family, I love them. The big issue is that someone else in our family who they asked first said no. They honestly didn’t care whether or not they were forced out of their home–and this is someone who probably has more liquid assets than even I do. And they said no. It’s crazy to me.

This is someone who I have loved all my life, you know? Someone I have looked up to and even tried to emulate. For them to be so uncaring is just disgusting to me. To turn away from your own flesh and blood in their darkest hour is just sick. They call them fair weather friends–I guess you can have fair weather family too.

Yeah you guys, that’s the real life of Nikky Blond. Issues, problems, drama–I may have a heavy sprinkling of glitz and glamour in my life, but I also have all the same problems that you guys deal with. Nobody’s special–don’t buy into that. That’s why I love writing here on the blog because it shows you that I’m real underneath all that bullshit.

Today was such a lazy day. I was in need of a little vacation, and I’m glad I finally got one! I figured hey, it’s the day after Easter. I’ve been working my ass off. Sometimes you’ve just gotta take a break.
